I grew up in Seattle and moved to Alaska in 1994. My husband and I are the parents of two children: a four year old boy and a seven year old girl. I'm a graduate of the Dental Hygiene School at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

My favorite winter activity is cross country skiing (when I'm able to squeeze it into my family's schedule). In the summer I enjoy gardening, camping, and fishing. I'm sorry to say, having grown up in the Northwest with all its excellent fishing...I've never caught a fish!!!
